HMSI is soon going to launch a new bike in India. Witnessing the boom in the ADV segment, Honda XRE 300 ADV will soon debut. How? Well, the recent spy pics of a production-ready model have surfaced on the internet. The bike is being prepped by the Indian Honda technicians as visible. However, its launch will likely take place in the next year.

Honda XRE 300 Details
The XRE 300 is a complete ADV in every sense. Its design is sleek and tall which resembles the true ADV styling. Additionally, the front uses 245mm long-travel telescopic forks. A beak under the headlight is another design element that is seen on proper ADV bikes. At the rear, it uses a 225mm travel pro-link monoshock suspension. However, there is the absence of a windscreen which most of the rivals offer. This equates to the fact that it will be a more hardcore trail-riding machine.
As seen in the spy photo, the bike is already standing alongside its rivalry. The KTM Adventure 390 & BMW 310 GS are seen along with it. However, the XRE will be a little less in terms of power than these rivals. It uses a 291cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine globally. This engine makes a healthy 25.5 bhp of peak power & 27 Nm of peak torque. One can say that it will be a more direct rival to the Hero Xpulse 200 4V.
Additionally, the features include a 21-inch front tyre and a 19-inch rear tyre; in typical ADV fashion. It also gets full LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, & dual-channel ABS as well. The cherry on the cake is its light kerb weight of only 148 kg. This means that it is going to be a nimble and easy-to-handle bike. We suspect that Honda will showcase or launch it at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo. The expected price will remain around Rs 2 lakh.
