Italian two-wheeler maker Benelli has launched the 2022 version of its 502 and 502X adventure tourers in China. The 2022 variations have new upgrades, with the swingarm being the most notable modification. The new cast aluminium swingarm for the 2022 Benelli 502 twins is 3.6 kg lighter than the one it replaces. The updated 502 twins could arrive in India soon.

The switchgear on the 2022 TRK 502 has been slightly updated to improve feel and usage. It also comes with tubeless-ready spoke wheels, a full-color TFT panel, heated grips, and tyre pressure sensors, all of which are noteworthy features in this segment. Over the basic TRK 502, the TRK 502X gets sealed wire-spoke wheels that can be shod with tubeless rubber, a strong suspension with 30 mm more ground clearance, and an upswept exhaust.
A twin-cylinder 500cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine with peak power of 46.8 bhp and peak torque of 46 Nm is enough to propel the TRK-twins across roads and off-road terrain. The TRK 502 and TRK 502X are equipped with a twin-disc front brake system and a single-disc rear brake system, respectively.
This engine is also said to attain an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl, making it a reasonable mile-muncher. Benelli has also included safety features such as dual-channel ABS and a slip-assist clutch to assure the rider's safety.

The price for Benelli TRK 502 stands at Rs 5.24 Lakhs ex-showroom and the TRK 502X now stands at Rs 5.86 Lakhs ex-showroom. In India, it faces competition from the Honda CB500X, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Kawasaki Versys 650, and Triumph Tiger Sport 660. Other markets are anticipated to get the revised models as well.
In other Benelli related news, the brand's parent business has released a photo of the future QJ Motors 550cc sports bike. The new bike is expected to use the Benelli TRK 502's liquid-cooled 554cc parallel-twin engine, which delivers 47.5 horsepower and 46 Nm of torque. This power is sent to the back wheels by a chain-drive arrangement. The transmission is a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch.
Benelli is also working hard to expand its product line with new bikes like the TRK 702.
