Kia EV6 Facelift: What Changes On The Outside?
The front end of the updated Kia EV6 now boasts a striking twin-arm LED DRL setup hugging the new LED headlamp assembly. Along with this, the tiger nose grille and the front bumper have been tweaked for a fresh and sharper appearance. Apart from this, the sheet metal remains almost similar to what it was before.
The rear profile is reminiscent of the outgoing EV6 with minor tweaks to the tail lamp and the rear bumper. What's completely changed are the 19-inch alloy wheels (20 inches for select markets and variants) that now adorn a checkered pattern in contrast to the fluid body lines of the electric mover. While this sums up the outsides, the cabin keeps up with the flow.
Interior And Features
As soon as you enter the cabin, you will notice the dual-spoke steering wheel along with a panoramic unit housing the digital instrument cluster and the big infotainment screen that now comes with wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay. This new display is now a curved rectangular cutout rather than the previous sloping one. The two-spoke steering wheel now incorporates a fingerprint reader, offering a futuristic touch and a keyless start option for authorized drivers. The facelift boasts enhanced driver visibility with a digital rear-view mirror and an improved head-up display. Further elevating the driving experience is an AI-powered navigation system, similar to those found in newer Genesis models. Apart from this, you get ADAS, 10 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, a Vehicle-to-load feature, wireless charging, smart headlamps, a posterior view mirror, and many more.
Battery And Range: Bigger And Better!
The Kia EV6 now boasts a newer and bigger battery pack of 84 kWh capacity in contrast to the previous 77.4 kWh unit. This Hyundai-sourced battery now delivers a claimed mileage of 494 km which is a slight bump up from the earlier 475 km, albeit by a small margin. The latest battery in the EV6 supports 350kW DC charging, boasting the capability to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. In terms of performance, the EV6 RWD line-up features a motor delivering 225hp and 350Nm of torque, while the dual-motor variants offer a higher output of 320hp and 605Nm.

The Kia EV6 facelift is all set for an Indian launch sometime around mid 2025 where it will rival the likes of Hyundai Ioniq 5 and other premium EVs.
