2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Price
The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB starts at Rs 78.5 lakh ex-showroom and is available in the E 200 variant. The second option is the E 220 d (Diesel) at Rs 81.5 lakh, and last but not least, the E 450 at Rs 92.5 lakh ex-showroom.
Compared to the previous generation of the E-Class, the new one is slightly more expensive by Rs 3 lakh for the base variant. However, the diesel variant previously cost Rs 76 lakh, resulting in a significant difference. Additionally, there was no E 450 in the earlier generation, making this performance version a new addition.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB New Design
The new model looks muscular from every angle, and this time, Mercedes has made an effort to separate it from other models. For example, the outgoing E-Class resembled a budget S-Class, but not this one. It features unique characteristics that you won't find in any other Benz, such as a radiator grille with Mercedes-Benz star patterns, which looks absolutely beautiful.
The digital lights, which boast over 1 million pixels, are visually striking and complement the overall clean design. From the sides, it appears similar to the earlier model, but the rear end features special tail lamps that look elegant from every angle. Additionally, the tail lamps incorporate a 3D star design, showcasing the brand's logo, and they are connected, just like on many other cars today.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Interior
Unlike the exterior, the interior is a mix of several other Benz models, such as the EQS and S-Class. This vehicle now offers three large screens in the central console: one for the driver, one in the center for infotainment, and a third dedicated to the co-passenger. These screens showcase striking animations to elevate the E-Class experience.
Talking about the features inside, the central screen has built-in AI that observes your driving habits and assists you in day-to-day driving. Additionally, it has an inward-facing camera that allows you to take selfies.
The back seat experience is going to be ultra-luxurious, as the rear seats can now recline up to 36 degrees. Plus, since it is a long wheelbase (LWB) model, there are no complaints about the legroom.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Engines
Talking about the powertrain, the big news today is the E 450 4MATIC lineup, which uses a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six engine with 48V mild hybrid technology. This setup produces 375 hp and 369 Nm of torque, sending power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Additionally, the E 450 4MATIC will be offered in both petrol and diesel powertrains, along with the option of an AMG kit. This includes 19-inch wheels and special changes to the exterior and interior to match the AMG badge.
Other engines with variants like E 200 and E 220 d are the same, we already have seen in the last gen E-Class LWB.

Verdict
The all-new E-Class is here, and competitors like the Audi A6, Lexus ES, and the all-new BMW 5 Series will definitely feel the impact. The Mercedes is introducing the E 450 4MATIC model, which will cater to those seeking an athletic experience in this limousine. The pricing is as expected; however, the diesel engine has become very expensive, which may push customers toward the petrol variants. From a design perspective, it looks more mature and handsome from every angle, and, most importantly, it is different from the S-Class.
