The iVoomi S1 Lite has made its debut, and it competes against other low-cost scooters in the Rs 80,000-1,00,000 price range, the Ola S1 X being the most prominent of them all. iVoomi S1 Lite: What's New?
The S1 Lite does not look all that different from the standard S1, retaining nearly most of the youthful design language. According to the manufacturer, customers get to choose from either a 10-inch wheel or a 12-inch wheel setup.
In terms of the powertrain, the S1 Lite comes with the same hub-mounted electric motor, with a claimed top speed of 53kmph. The removable battery pack now gets a claimed range of 180km on a single charge; that's more than the lower two trims of the Ola S1 X. However, specifications of the battery pack remain undisclosed as of now.

The S1 Lite comes with a digital cluster, with connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a distance-to-empty readout, call/SMS alerts, a USB charging port, and 18-litres of underseat storage.
iVoomi says the S1 Lite can be booked through dealerships in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Rajasthan.
Verdict
The iVoomi S1 Lite may prove to be a good low-cost scooter, but there is simply no competing with the Ola S1 X, since it offers many options in just under a lakh. However, the S1 Lite's removable battery pack may work for those who do not have easy access to charging sockets.
