The spy shots reveal that the new Kia Carens CNG might be offered with a 1.4-L turbocharged engine that is expected to deliver peak power and torque output of 110-120 Ps and 180-200 Nm respectively. Having said this, the Kia Carens CNG will be offered with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. The brand is however yet to officially reveal the details and specs of the upcoming Kia Carens CNG.
The Maruti Ertiga CNG on the other hand gets a 1.5-L K15C engine that churns out 87 Ps and 121 Nm of maximum torque on CNG mode. Having said this, this engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and has enough power for the city as well as for highway driving. Needless to say, power and torque output is higher in the petrol mode.
