KIA Cars Maintenance Cost Study
Based on research findings, Kia Carens stands out as a frontrunner in the family mover segment, boasting the most cost-effective maintenance for both its petrol and diesel variants by 21% and 26%, respectively. Its diesel models offer the lowest acquisition cost, with Carens Diesel closely trailing the segment leader in minimizing fuel expenses.
Similarly, the Seltos offers the lowest maintenance costs for its petrol variants, providing a substantial 17% savings compared to the industry average. Additionally, its diesel counterparts share the lowest maintenance costs with another segment leader. In terms of overall total cost of ownership (TCO), the Seltos closely trails the segment's top performers, securing the second-best TCO for its diesel variant and the third-best for its petrol variant.
Furthermore, in December 2023, the company declared that the Sonet has the best maintenance cost in the Compact SUV segment. The report indicated that the maintenance costs for Sonets Petrol and Diesel variants are 16% and 14% lower than the segment average, respectively.
The KIA Carens is priced between Rs 10.45 lakh and Rs 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Seltos ranges from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom). KIA's entry-level model, the Sonet, starts at Rs 7.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
