Kia is all set to introduce the upcoming Kia KY 7-Seater SUV on 16 December 2021. The 6/7-Seater MPV is expected to be based on the Kia Seltos and should be offered with similar powertrains that are offered with the Seltos. The car, once launched, will rival the cars like the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the upcoming Toyota Rumion. The upcoming Kia KY 7-Seater SUV will make its global debut on 16 December 2021 and is expected to go on sale in 2022. The car will not only share its underpinnings with Kia Seltos but will also have similar body panels and other body panels. In addition to this, the KY 7-Seater is expected to be offered with a spacious and comfortable cabin. The car will be offered with a six-seat and a seven-seat configuration while other features like rear AC vents, large panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, push-button start, and connected car tech too will be on offer with the KY MPV.

The brand is expected to name this upcoming Kia KY MPV as the Carens. Kia had filed a trademark application for the same name earlier and we expect a similar name to be used with this MPV. Having said this, the Kia Carens (KY MPV) may get 1.5-L Diesel, 1.5-L petrol and 1.4-L turbo petrol. These engines will come equipped with manual as well as automatic transmission options. All these engines not only offer supreme refinement levels but in addition to this, also offer impressive performance and commendable reliability. On the features front, the car will be equipped with a large touchscreen system, steering mounted controls, digital instrument console, rear AC vents, automatic headlamps, auto wipers, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cooled glovebox, and many other features like an electrically adjustable driving seat, wireless charging pad, etc.
On the design front, the Kia Carens will get an aggressive design and is expected to get a tiger-nose grille with aggressive headlights. The side profile will be largely dominated by dual-cut alloy wheels. The rear of the car gets an elegant design and LED tail lights. The cabin too is expected to feature an attractive dashboard layout and the fit and finish levels too are expected to be one of the best in the segment.
