Kia Syros Things To Expect
This time, the Korean car maker has confirmed some of the things that will be offered on the Syros, along with giving us a more closer look into its design. We'll get into the features first. Some of the features confirmed on the Syros include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, push-button start, front parking sensors, a rear parking camera, terrain modes, steering-mounted controls, and type-C charging ports.
From the teaser, it also looks like the interiors of the Syros will draw some inspiration from the EV9, featuring a unique, futuristic-looking gear selector, and the new-age steering wheel which is different from the Seltos, Sonet, and the Carens.

In terms of design, we can notice a sleek, vertically-stacked LED headlight setup with DRLs placed on the side. The front of the car also seems to draw inspiration from the EV9 and possibly the smaller EV3, with a blanked-off nose, while the grille is placed lower down.
The side profile of the Syros will be clean and clutter-free, and the flush-fitting door handles are going to be a segment-first. The B-pillar treatment will also remind you of the Skoda Yeti, with a very distinct mass-breaker. The tailgate will also be inspired by the EV9, and there will also be L-shaped tail lights with a sleek treatment.
The Syros is set to make its debut on December 19, and in terms of powertrains, it is likely to share them with the Sonet. With its upright, boxy stance, the Syros is likely to focus on rear seat comfort. Stay tuned for more information!
Verdict
The Syros is entering a segment that is already rather tightly packed, but it might stand out with its focus on rear seat comfort. If Kia also manages to solve the stiff ride quality seen on the Sonet, the Syros might just edge ahead of its rivals.
