In a first glimpse, Mahindra has dropped a teaser for the Mahindra Scorpio N -based pick-up truck concept (Z121) with unwrapping on August 15th this year. With a global debut in Cape Town, South Africa, the details of its launch are still not out, but expect it to make it to production sometime in 2025. And since the pick-up trucks are famous for their off-road ventures, expect some solid off-road credentials.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pick-Up Coming Soon
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N Pick-Up version offers a longer wheelbase compared to its SUV counterpart, the Scorpio N. This extended wheelbase enables the integration of a larger load bed, making the pick-up version suitable for carrying a wide variety of cargo. Drawing inspiration from the existing Scorpio Classic, where the SUV version has a wheelbase of 2.6 meters, the pick-up version, known as the 'Getaway' in India, boasts a wheelbase of a little over 3 meters.

The Mahindra Scorpio N Pick-Up concept in the video showcases eye-catching features such as big chunky tires, a side footstep, and vertically stacked tail lamps. Notably, an electric sunroof and an open flatbed can also be spotted. However, the interior details remain undisclosed, leaving everyone eagerly awaiting further revelations.
The recently launched Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu V-Cross are the main contenders in this segment. However, the Mahindra Scorpio-N appears to be a potential candidate for conversion and offering as a pick-up truck, as it presents a viable option with its existing SUV platform. Scorpio N: Engine Details
The Mahindra Scorpio N comes with two engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, offering 200 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque with the 6-speed MT. However, it jumps up to 380 Nm with the 6-speed AT variant. The second option is a 2.2-liter diesel engine, available in two tunes: 130 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, or 172 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual gearbox (400 Nm with the 6-speed automatic).
