In 2024, Mahindra is making adjustments to the Scorpio N, reducing features and increasing prices for select trims of this SUV. Positioned in the price range of Rs. 13.6 lakh to Rs. 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom), the Scorpio N, now comes with downsized alloy wheels on the Z8 trim level, as per recent reports. Mahindra Scorpio N: Z8 Trim Gets Feature Cuts And Smaller Wheel Size
As part of their regular Integrated Material Cost Reduction (IMCR) initiatives, Mahindra has made adjustments to features in the Z6 and Z8 trim levels of Mahindra Scorpio N with regards to the Cooled Glove Box. Due to IMCR efforts, the Z4 and Z6 variants will no longer include this feature, while it will continue to be available in the Z8 and Z8L variants.
Despite Integrated Material Cost Reduction (IMCR) not specifying feature revisions for Z8 and Z8L, various YouTube channels, citing dealership sources, have highlighted these changes. The removal of the passenger-side door request sensor and the reduction of rear parking sensors from four to two affect both Z8 and Z8L trims. Another update includes a color change in the rear tailgate door handle from silver to black.

However, Mahindra previously equipped manual versions of the Z8 trim with 17-inch steel wheels and automatic versions with 18-inch alloy wheels. Now, automatic variants are downsizing to 17-inch alloy wheels, while the manual variant gets an upgrade from 17-inch steel wheels to the same 17-inch alloy wheels as the automatic version. However, conflicting reports suggest that Mahindra has consistently provided 17-inch alloy wheels with manual transmissions
Engine Details
This SUV offers two engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol engine that generates 175 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The second is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine rated at 203 bhp power and up to 380 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a standard 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic is available as an option.
