Last year, Mahindra brought in the Thar and it became a huge success. Enough to get a waiting period of 1 year. Yes, that's right. Now, Mahindra is gearing up for the next big launch and that is the XUV700. Several spy shots of the same have been spied in the Indian market and we can tell you that it will pack in a whole package. Now, new info on the features list has come up officially that the Mahindra XUV700 will get a high beam assist but what it is really? Let's find out!
Nowadays, every carmaker wants to stand out and mind you, when the first generation of the XUV500 was launched, it was a runaway success. The XUV700 is the more advanced model of the XUV500 that will go on sale soon. A newer platform, design, features and moreover the powerful engine options. With this, even we are in a dilemma that will the XUV700 really target Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the recently launched Hyundai Alcazar? We can only share that light once the prices are out!
Coming to the high beam assist that the Mahindra XUV700 packs, well, it is a premium offering that we have seen in high-end cars. What it does is that, once the SUV crosses 80kmph, the additional set of headlights will glow up to further improve the illumination. So newer technologies surely aid the driver without putting in much effort.

Apart from that, the XUV700 will also get ADAS that is the advanced driver assistance system with Level 1 autonomous technology. This feature is currently seen on the MG Gloster and is surely helpful in modern cars. Other safety features include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring sensors, traction control and others.
The cabin of the Mahindra XUV700 will also be equipped with the latest technology and features. The dual-screen setup inspired by Mercedes-Benz, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, huge panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, dual-zone climate control and others.
Styling-wise, there are no updates but yes sharp creases and lines are expected along with the aggressive front design. One sure thing that we know is that the XUV700 will come with flush door type handles that are seen on the Range Rover Velar.

Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV700 will be powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk and a more powerful 2.0L Stallion turbo petrol unit. They are the same engine as seen on the Thar but will come in with additional power. A 6-speed manual as standard and an optional 6-speed automatic will be on offer. Similarly, we are expecting an all-wheel-drive variant, however, that will come with the top of the line variant only.
