Mahindra XUV700 Spied in Full Glory, Launch on Independence Day?

Mahindra XUV500 is a very popular SUV in the Indian market. It was first launched in India in the year 2011 and received several updates over the years. However, the XUV500 has started showing its age and so Mahindra will soon launch its successor which will be called the Mahindra XUV700. The Mahindra XUV 700 is expected to make its India debut soon and ahead of its official launch, it has been spied yet again in a detailed video.

The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 will sit above the Mahindra XUV500 in the company's India line-up and as per the media reports, both the SUVs will be sold alongside in the country. The upcoming XUV700 will be longer, wider & taller than the XUV500 and it will have a longer wheelbase too. The XUV700 will also be a very premium SUV. As you can see in this video, the Mahindra XUV700 has been spied in its full glory and reveals some interesting details.

We can see that the overall silhouette of the new XUV700 will remain more or less like the XUV500. However, it will be much larger in size & will sport all-LED adaptive 'Auto Booster' headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, LED dynamic turn indicators, flush-fitting door handles, etc. The XUV700 will also come loaded with features up to the gills, including a massive twin-screen set-up on the dashboard like most of the new Mercedes-Benz cars.

Finally, talking about the launch timeline, as per some fresh reports, the new Mahindra XUV700 might be launched in India on August 15, 2021. The Mahindra XUV700 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that will deliver 185 PS of power & a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol motor that will churn out 200 PS of power. The power figures of the XUV700's engines are class-leading in their segment, however, their torque figures aren't out yet. The Mahindra XUV700 will get AWD in the top-spec variants along with ADAS, personalised safety features and other gizmos.
