Maruti Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition: Colour Options And Special Tweaks
The Australian specifications for the 5-door Jimny include three variants: Lite (3-door), Standard (3-door), and XL. The latest edition is based on the XL model. Known as the Jimny XL Heritage, it is offered in five distinctive colour options: Arctic White Pearl, Chiffon Ivory Metallic with Bluish Black Pearl, Bluish Black Pearl, Granite Grey Metallic, and Jungle Green. This special edition is a tribute to the enduring legacy of Jimny's iconic 4x4 heritage, spanning the vibrant decades of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
This special edition features unique orange-red stream graphics on the sides and rear, along with special decals, a Heritage logo, and red front and rear mudflaps. It also comes with a red cargo tray and a Jimny Heritage pack, including various dedicated tweaks exclusive to this edition.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition: Engine And Hardware
This edition is equipped with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 100 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. It is exclusively offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and has the option for an all-wheel-drive system. Although there are 4-speed torque converter automatic options available for other variants, they are not offered with this edition.
On the flip side, the Indian version of the Jimny offers similar engine options but with slightly higher power figures. It boasts 104 bhp and 134.2 Nm of torque. You can opt for either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed torque converter automatic. Additionally, the Indian variant is equipped with the ALLGRIP PRO drive system, which includes a Low Range Transfer Gear, providing enhanced off-road capability.
This vehicle is equipped with ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes, with leading and trailing rear brakes. It features a 3-link rigid axle with coil spring suspension both at the front and rear.
Verdict
The new edition launched in Australia doesn't offer any additional features besides some visual tweaks. However, for customers looking for a limited special edition with a distinct appearance to stand out, this edition is a great option.
