MG Motor India recently unveiled its upcoming C-segment SUV, Astor in India. MG has equipped this SUV with some best and first-in-class features, including 80+ connected features and Level-2 ADAS. The car has also been equipped with personal AI assistance, which is Astor's biggest highlight. MG Astor vs Kia Seltos vs Hyundai Creta comparison Dimensions
MG has built its new Astor on the ZS EV platform, obviously smaller than its Hector but proportionate to other similar c-segment SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the latest Skoda Kushaq.
On comparing the dimensions of the car, Astor is 4323 mm in length, 1809 mm in width with a wheelbase of 2585 mm. Considering the length and width of the three SUVs, Creta is 4300 mm in length and 1790 mm wide whereas Seltos is 4315 mm in length and 1800 mm wide.

The other two SUVs, Creta and Seltos, have a longer wheelbase of 2610 mm than that of Astor. The reason why MG Astor looks a bit bigger than the other two is its crossover design language. MG has set a good ground clearance for its Astor which is better than the other two.

Engine Specifications and Transmission Choices
MG Astor is available with two engine options, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 110 ps of maximum power and 144 Nm of peak torque and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine which churns out 140 Ps of maximum power and 220 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a six-speed manual, CVT and automatic transmission as well.

On the other hand, Hyundai offers three engine availability with its Creta, 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual and automatic transmission, 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual and IMT and 1.4-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Kia Seltos, the best-selling car of Kia in its cars lineup, is available in two engine options. 1.5-litre Smartstream G petrol engine and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine.

Kia Seltos on the other hand provides high-strength steel and adhesives for premium safety to reduce the impact on the car in case of an accident. Hyundai Creta comes with convenient and upgraded interiors. It now gets a duo-tone interior theme with an all-new dash layout and a huge center console, an e-sim is installed in the car for connected tech, and newly designed air vents. It also offers a sportier steering wheel design and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster.
Kia Seltos is a room for everything. It has unbeatable technology, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera view, smart 8.0 heads-up display, ventilated and power-adjustable seats, smart air purifier and much more. The cabin of the Seltos looks more futuristic and convenient for drivers.

After MG has revealed the prices of its Astor, it is visible that MG Astor will attract the market towards itself with such aggressive pricing. MG Astor starts at Rs 9.78 lakhs (ex-showroom) whereas Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 10.16 lakhs (ex-showroom) and Kia Seltos starts at Rs 9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is visible that Astor has the minimum prices with a bunch of features on comparing it with its rivals. The top-end variant for Astor will ask for a premium of Rs 16.78 lakhs (ex-showroom), Hyundai Creta will ask for a premium of Rs 17.87 lakhs (ex-showroom) which is Rs 1,09,000 more than Astor and Kia Seltos will ask for a premium of Rs 18.05 lakhs (ex-showroom) which is Rs 1,27,000 more than Astor.

Safety Rating
Kia Seltos in the Global NCAP crash test was able to achieve three-star safety rating whereas Hyundai Creta and MG Astorss ratings are yet to be announced.
