Bajaj Auto is all set to launch a big update for its Chetak electric scooter. The 2025 Bajaj Chetak electric is all set to break covers on the 20th of December. Now, ahead of the official launch, the test mule of the upcoming Chetak electric scooter has been spotted on test in Pune. 2025 Bajaj Chetak Electric Spotted
The recently spotted test mule was partially covered in camouflage but revealed its identity. The upcoming iteration is expected to get a lot of changes in terms of hardware, features, and minor tweaks to the design. The new Chetak will get a lighter chassis and an all-new platform offering it more agility and driveability. Moreover, the scooter will get a tweaked design while keeping its retro appeal. In the spy shots, we can see the taillamps are now sleeker, and the apron and side panels are covered in camouflage hinting towards minor changes to these areas.
The brand is expected to relocate the battery pack to make it more practical. Currently, the Chetak doesn't offer good under-seat storage, with the battery pack relocated the scooter will be able to offer more space and better weight distribution. Most of Chetak's rivals offer a big underseat storage and with the updated model Chetak will be able to compete better in the segment in this aspect.
The current Chetak is equipped with a digital display, alloy wheels, front disc brake, and connected features among other highlights. With the launch of the updated model, the scooter is expected to get more features and better user-friendliness.
Bajaj Chetak currently comes with two battery pack options ranging from 2.88 kWh to 3.2 kWh offering a range of up to 136 km on a single charge. The pricing of the current model starts at Rs 95,998 and goes up to Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Bajaj Chetak is all set to receive a new update which is expected to make it more practical and feature loaded. The brand might introduce a more affordable variant alongside the updated model. The Chetak has recently received a good response in the market which gave it a strong sales figures. The new update is likely to enhance the sales numbers of the scooter in the market. The Bajaj Chetak competes with the Ather Rizta, Ola S1 Lineup, TVS iQube and other electric scooters in the same price range.
