Maruti Dzire CNG Arrives At Dealership
As one of the leaders in India's CNG vehicle market, Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the segment, with a diverse lineup of CNG-powered models. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG is offered in two trim options namely VXi and ZXi, with prices starting at Rs. 8.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Dzire CNG primarily caters to fleet operators but has also gained popularity among private buyers due to its lower cost of ownership and the growing availability of CNG refueling stations. However, Maruti has earlier conveyed that this won't be available for taxi purposes, for which the previous-gen model will continue duties.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG comes equipped with a range of key features, including LED headlamps, LED taillights, and stylish painted alloy wheels. Inside, you'll find a height-adjustable driver seat, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, and a smart key, along with an engine start-stop button for added convenience. On the safety front, the Dzire CNG is well-equipped with six airbags, a reverse parking camera, and other essential features to ensure a secure driving experience. Plus, a 5-star rating from Global NCAP further cements its authority as a safer choice in the segment, a very notable upgrade over last generation.

Maruti Dzire CNG Powertrain
The Dzire CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series engine, offered with two transmission options: a five-speed manual and an AMT. The CNG variant produces 69 bhp of peak power at 5,700 rpm and 102 Nm of torque at 2,900 rpm. The Dzire CNG delivers an impressive fuel economy of 33.73 km/kg, making it a highly efficient option, which is mostly why it carries a massive mass appeal. It is equipped with a 37-litre petrol tank and a 55-litre CNG tank, providing a practical range for both city and highway driving.
Verdict
Maruti is the biggest player when it comes to CNG models with a big number of models available. While you get improved mileage but with a trade-off with power and luggage space. But for those who want their car to offer more mileage and are okay with the bargains, the new Dzire is one of the better choices available out there, given its increased boot space than other hatchback CNG models.
