Ola Electric is about to release its first big over-the-air (OTA) update for scooters. Ola Electric is almost finished with its first major MoveOS 2 OTA software update, which will introduce some of the aforementioned features to its electric scooters S1 and S1 Pro, which were previously unavailable.
On Monday, Ola Electric's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, tweeted a video of the upgraded software on one of the electric scooters. On the screen, it displays the latest software, which includes navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Ola's MoveOS 2 software is most likely still in testing, but, as the CEO pointed out, it is nearing completion. In electric scooters, the new software is likely to incorporate capabilities such as cruise control.
Some of the highlighted features on the Ola S1 and S1 Pro were missing when they were first released, however with this update, those features should be added to the scooters. Numerous Ola Electric customers had expressed their dissatisfaction with the software in some of the scooters that had previously been delivered. Cruise control and Bluetooth functionality were two features that customers thought were badly lacking.
Both the S1 and S1 Pro scooters are available in a variety of unique colour combinations. The S1 features a 2.98 kWh non-removable battery that can go 121 kilometres on a single charge. The S1 Pro has a larger 3.97 kWh battery that can travel 181 kilometres on a single charge. Both scooters have a peak power of 8.5 kW and torque of 58 Nm, but the S1 Pro has a top speed of 115 kmph while the S1 has a top speed of 90 kmph.
