The Ola S1 Electric Scooter is one of the most anticipated and talked-about electric scooters in India and is currently seen as a practical and a good looking alternatives for those who are looking to switch to electric two-wheelers for a long time now. In a recent tweet, Ola's CEO, Mr Bhavish Aggarwal shared a video celebrating the girl power at Ola Futurefactory. The video shared by Bhavish Aggarwal shows the first batch of all-women workers in the Ola Futurefactory that is said to employ over 10,000 women once it works at full capacity. This will make it the world's largest women-only factory and the only all-women automotive manufacturing facility across the globe, as claimed by the brand. The Ola Futurefactory is one of the initial steps by the brand to create a more inclusive workforce and to provide better economic opportunities for women across the board. The Ola S1 and the S1 Pro electric scooters have a strong demand in the market and are the deliveries of these scooters are expected to start soon. This new factory is spread in a total area of over 500-acres and is located near Chennai.

The customers of the S1 and the S1 Pro will be offered test drives starting from 10 November 2021 and the deliveries too are expected to start after mid-November 2021. More than 20 lakh electric scooters are planned to be manufactured and delivered in the initial phase of the production. The bookings of these scooters were open for two days starting from September 15 and the brand claims to have received bookings worth more than INR 1,100 crore in this period. While the Ola S1 Electric scooter is priced at INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom), the S1 Pro on the other hand is priced from INR 1.30 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both these scooters are available in ten exciting colour shades. The Ola S1 boasts a claimed range of over 120 km on a single charge and is powered by a 3.97 kW electric motor. This motor is paired with a 3.97 kWh battery pack. A better and more superior powertrain is seen on the S1 Pro and the bike boasts a claimed range of 180 km on a single charge while the top speed of this scooter is said to be 115 kmph.
The brand also launched its first Hypercharger a few days ago. Being the first Hypercharger in India, it is capable of charging the batteries of the S1 and the S1 pro from 0-50% in just 18 minutes. The brand is carefully planning the charging infrastructure and has shared a city-wise plan for its charging stations. The Hypercharger stations will get a multilevel layout to support several customers simultaneously.
