1. Design
The Ola S1 X 4kWh closely resembles other variants, sharing the same styling, feature set, and nearly all dimensions, except for weight. The 4kWh model weighs 112kg, adding 4kg compared to the S1 X equipped with the 3kWh battery. This is basically a beefed-up version considering its bigger battery size.
2. Battery, Range, And Top Speed
This is where the main essence of this launch lies. It gets a bigger 4 kWh battery that claims a range of up to 190 km on a single charge. Moreover, to fully go from 0-100 %, it takes around 6 hours 30 minutes. The Ola S1 X 4 kWh variant achieves a top speed of 90 kmph similar to other iterations of the same. It clocks 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds whereas the 0-60 is done in 5.5 seconds. Talking about peak power, it is rated at 6 kWh.
3. Features: Gets Plenty, But...
In terms of features, the S1 X 4kWh variant comes with LED lights, a 10.9 cm (4.3 inches) digital instrument console, and various connected features. Cruise control is provided as a standard feature to enhance the riding experience. However, advanced functionalities such as proximity lock/unlock and geofencing are not included.

4. 8 Year/80,000 km Battery Warranty introduced
A complimentary 8-year/80,000km battery warranty accompanies every new S1 e-scooter purchase. Customers can also choose to extend their warranty at an additional cost. Extending the warranty up to 1 lakh kilometers comes at an extra Rs 4,999, and further extension up to 1.25 lakh kilometers will cost an additional Rs 13,999.
5. Price, Bookings, Delivery Timeline, And Rivals
The bookings of this bigger variant are already open and you can book through the official website. However, the deliveries will commence from April this year. The ex-showroom price for this variant is Rs 1.10 lakhs. Its main rivals are the Ather 450S and the TVS iQube.
Verdict
The bigger battery translating into more range is just what one of the main pulls of an EV is right now. While it takes the range anxiety away, it is more practical in real life as well, and is sure to help the brand rake in more numbers.
