The Nissan Arkana is one of the most talked-about SUVs in the international line-up and is known to offer a feature-rich and capable mechanical setup. After a successful launch of the Kiger in the Indian market, Renault is now working on expanding its line-up in India. Having said this, the spied images of the Arkana in India have further sparked rumours about the launch of this compact SUV in India. Here are all the details about the Arkana that you should know.
The test mule of the Arkana was spotted in Chennai and is offered as multiple international markets like Russia. The Arkana is based on the B0 platform that also underpins the cars like the Renault Duster and Captur. There are strong believes that the Arkana SUV will be replacing the Renault Duster in the Indian market. While the brand is yet to release the official details about the Arkana in India, we do expect it to offer this SUV with the 1.3-L turbocharged petrol engine that also powered the Duster and the Kicks.

However, it is also believed that the test mule of the Arkana SUV was being used for component testing or for testing the suitability of the model in the Indian climate conditions. The Renault Arkana first made its debut in 2019 in Russia and measures 4545 mm in length while the measured width and height of 1820 mm and 1565 mm respectively. The wheelbase on the other hand stands at 2721 mm. The test mule on test featured LED headlights with LED drls, dual-cut alloy wheels, etc.
In the Indian market, Renault is presently offering the Kiger, Kwid, and the Triber while the Duster was recently taken off the shelves following a slow demand.
