Tata Curvv EV #Dark Edition

Carbon Black paint all over the Tata Curvv EV does enhance its machismo levels, and definitely, it is looking more handsome here, as the Dark Edition covers the entire vehicle in one shade, which helps in creating a beautiful symmetry. That said, the alloy wheels do have some silver colour shades from diamond cuts, but the central part is all black. Also, #Dark badging is there to separate it from regular Curvv EV variants, and the rear spoiler located at the top of the rear windshield is finished in gloss black piano.
Talking about the interior again, it's pitch black with #Dark written on the front headrest. However, at the central console runs a thin grey strip that adds a touch of sophistication, which looks so luxurious. Now on to its variant and battery pack details -

The 55 kWh battery pack puts out 167 PS and 215 Nm of torque, and the range is 502 km as per MIDC Part 1 test. Moreover, all the power goes to the front wheels, and it can do 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds. Also, there are three driving modes - Eco, City, and Sports. Talking about the charging time - it comes with a 7.2 kW AC wall box and takes 7.9 hrs to go from 10% to 100%. With a DC fast charger, only 40 minutes to go from 10% to 80%, and it can support up to 70 kW of DC fast charger. Lastly, with a regular 15A plug point, it will take 21 hrs to go from 10% to 100%.
Features

As this edition is based on the top-spec Empowered + A 55, features here are plenty. To begin with safety - it gets 21 features of Level 2 ADAS, an IP67-rated and liquid-cooled battery pack, SOS call, and in Bharat NCAP has achieved a 5-star safety rating. Other features include - Vehicle to Vehicle, Vehicle to Load, gesture-controlled tailgate, panoramic sunroof, two 10.25-inch screens inside, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver seat, Arcade.ev app suite, JBL cinematic sound system, air purifier with AQI display, frunk, R18 alloy wheels, and front seat ventilation.

Verdict
Personally, I think the Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition looks much more attractive than its ICE counterpart, as in that model, one can see some chrome inserts and even the alloys don't feel too black. This particular version will definitely have more road presence. Also, out of the two, the EV version sells better and has more to offer as an overall experience. However, it is available at such a high price point and only with the LR battery pack, which is not a welcoming decision - what if people want to own this but don't want the top variant? This should have been rethought by the management teams.
