- New Renault Duster, Triber, Kiger launch timelines revealed
- All-new Reanult Duster to be introduced in 2026
- Updated Kiger and Triber model to launch in second half of this year
Renault India has been toying around with just 3 models in the country, the affordable hatch Kwid, the compact SUV Kiger, and the Triber MPV. While it has its place in the market, the much-loved (or the now dearly missed) Renault Duster mid-size SUV has been confirmed for Indian launch in 2026. Not just this, the brand is also launching the next-gen versions of the Kiger and Triber by the second half of 2025. While these updates were long overdue, read on to find out what to expect at their launch, but before that, make sure you are a part of our 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel, specifically curated for all the avid petrolheads to never miss out on any automotive updates.

Renault Duster
There is a new SUV confirmed for launch in 2026, and though it has not been explicitly mentioned, everything indicates that it is most likely the Renault Duster, promising updated styling and a rich feature list. The SUV will exclusively feature petrol powertrains, offering a choice between a frugal 1.0-liter turbocharged engine and a more potent 1.3-liter turbo-petrol for enhanced performance. While diesel options have been discontinued, the familiar 1.3-liter turbo-petrol, producing 156hp and previously seen in the last-generation Duster (and even the Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan), will be available. To compensate for the absence of a diesel engine, a petrol-hybrid powertrain is on the cards.
Renault Kiger Facelift
Renault Kiger has been a decent seller for the brand, but it is now in need of some major upgrades, keeping in mind how the competition is getting tougher. While the looks of Kiger are already pretty impressive, it will be getting a facelift in the second half of 2025 with some tweaks to the exterior. However, inside the cabin, you can expect a serious revamp and the inclusion of some more quirky features to keep up the ante. This is also due the fact that the space has some highly-equipped models like Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and more. On the engine front, it is likely to stick to the existing line-up of a 1.0L NA petrol engine as well as a 1.0L turbo petrol unit.

Next-Gen Renault Triber
Being one of the most affordable MPVs in the country, the Renault Triber is also set for a major revamp this year. The Triber MPV will also be getting a cosmetic overhaul both inside and outside, with the interior getting some extra features and possibly including a sunroof as well for the higher trims. However, I would love to see a more powerful engine with this new update, something that has always been a shortcoming for this MPV considering the task that it has to perform, usually with full load. Although there is no update or scoop about this as of now, turbo petrol could very much be on the cards.
Verdict
Renault India looks ready to take on the renewed challenges in the market with updation of exisiting models alongwith introduction of the iconic Duster again in the subcontinent. However, being away from the limelight for sometime, the fight to the top will be a steep uphill battle, but the Duster's reintroduction will prove to be a big push for the Frech giant.
