RE Himalayan 450 Accessories Details
The spied test mule carried some interesting info about the upcoming ADV. The first thing to notice is the luggage panniers. The presence of 2 side panniers and one top box means a touring accessory pack will be offered. The newly launched Royal Enfield Hunter 350 also comes with such optional packs. However, it is expected that the 450 is going to be offered in two variants. One of the variants will be road centric. The other variant will be a proper hardcore off-road machine.
The panniers are expected to become a part of the luggage accessory pack. Hence, proper testing is being done by the company. Additionally, the front of the test bike has LED aux lights fitted. These lights have already been spied on previous test mules of it. The aux setup will be helpful for long-distance touring for the customers.
However, the instrument panel on the test bike looks the same as the one on Meteor 350. Additionally, there is no tripper navigation pod along with it. According to the previous reports, the bike will have a fully digital instrument panel. As the testing continues, the instrument pods keep changing. Hence, we can not comment on exactly what will be offered in the production version.
Engine & Specifications
Speaking of the engine, it is anticipated that a new 450cc unit will take place underneath the fuel tank. However, the exact power details are still unknown of it. We expect that it is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It is going to make peak power in the likes of 40 bhp. Additionally, a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper-clutch is also expected.
This will be done to beat the well-equipped rivals like the KTM Adventure 390 & the Yezdi Scrambler. However, the exact details of the fitment remain unknown now. The visible specs include spoke rims, USD front suspension, LED lighting, etc. The expected launch price of it is above Rs 2.5 lakh ex-showroom.
