In terms of engine & gearbox comparison, the new Hunter stands in the face with its rivals. Although it is not the most powerful bike in its segment, the overall engine specs are decent enough. The Jawa Forty Two clearly enjoys the benefit of higher specifications here. It is the most powerful of the lot and also has a 6-speed transmission. Other bikes are all neck-to-neck in terms of power output and peak torque development.

Dimensions-wise, it is the TVS Ronin TD that wins. Due to its small capacity engine, its dimensions are also smaller when compared to the lot. It also has the shortest wheelbase thus making it more agile. The Hunter 350 on the other hand has the least ground clearance and the highest weight as well. However, Royal Enfield claims that the Hunter is the most agile and easy-to-ride bike in its segment.

Comparing the suspension and brakes, it seems that the TVS Ronin is the most modern of the lot. It comes with USD front forks and preload adjustable monoschock at the rear as suspension. While the wheel size of Hunter and Ronin is similar, the Jawa 42 & the Honda CB350 RS have bigger tyres. Braking-wise, it is the Jawa that has a smaller front disc brake.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Features vs Rivals
Feature-wise, TVS Ronin again becomes the most high-tech bike in its segment. It comes with all LED lighting, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity & a fully digital instrument console as well. In comparison, the Hunter gets tripper navigation that will probably be offered as an optional accessory. Its instrument panel is a semi-digital unit as seen on the Meteor 350. USB phone charger socket is standard on both of these bikes.
Price Comparison
Royal Enfield will officially announce the prices of Hunter on August 7. We expect that it will be offered in a price bracket of Rs 1.5 - 1.7 lakh ex-showroom. Meanwhile, TVS Ronin costs Rs 1.69 - 1.71 lakh depending on the variant. Honda CB350 RS costs Rs 2.03 lakh ex-showroom and it is the most expensive in its segment. The Jawa Forty Two is priced at Rs 1.94 lakh ex-showroom in India.
