The Simple One electric scooter's deliveries have been delayed yet again by Simple Energy. The brand has now issued a new delivery schedule after previously anticipating that deliveries would begin in September of this year. Although the company hasn't given a precise date or month, the Simple One electric scooter will now be delivered to its customers in Q1 2023. The delivery timeline have now been changed three times: initially for June 2022, then for September 2022, and finally for Q1 2023.

Simple One Delivery Delay
According to the brand Simple One electric scooter will comply with and adhere to the new standards, thus the delay is due to the recent battery safety rules given by MoRTH. The latest battery safety rules released must be commended because safety has become the top priority in electric vehicles and the business. The company had anticipated a new framework to be announced in light of the recent events in the EV industry.
Speaking on this announcement, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, of Simple Energy, said, Adhering to the new battery safety guidelines issued by the government, Simple has taken a call to defer the deliveries of Simple One to thus ensure that our vehicles are certified as per new standards. We appreciate the patience and the love that the customers have showered on us. We look forward to a remarkable journey ahead.

Simple One scooter's revised variant has a 3.2 kWh fixed battery pack and two 1.6 kWh removable modules instead of the standard model's 3.2 kWh fixed battery pack and 1.6 kWh removable module, which is rated for 236 km per charge.
The Simple One electric scooter costs Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom) for the basic model, which has a real-world range of 203 km (up to 236 km in perfect conditions), and Rs 1,44,999 (ex-showroom) for the long-range version, which has a real-world range of over 300 km in ideal conditions with a second battery pack. It is available for pre-order on www.simpleenergy.in for Rs 1,947.
Verdict: Customers have been waiting for their electric scooters to arrive since Simple Energy began taking reservations in August 2021. It will now take place in Q1 2023, 1.5 years after its introduction. Some customers may switch to other brands as a result of the delay.
