Upcoming Tata Curvv and Sierra EV
Tata Motors has already showcased the upcoming Curvv and Sierra EVs multiple times. The Curvv and Sierra EVs were the highlights of the Auto Expo 2023. Afterwards, the company also showcased the ICE-powered Curvv and CNG-powered Nexon at the Bharat Mobility Show.

Sailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, told reporters during an event held on Wednesday that customer preference for SUVs over other body-type vehicles is likely to grow further in the coming days. He also added that upcoming Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFE) III norms will force carmakers to push more towards eco-friendly models like EVs or vehicles with alternative fuel.
Chandra said, We have already announced the launches of Curvv and Sierra over the next two years which will help us capture the growing mid-SUV segment." With cleaner fuel technology expected to see its overall market share grow to nearly 25 per cent in the next six years, Chandra said EVs and CNG-powered vehicles will be pushed out in more numbers. As per Chandra's statement, it seems that Tata Motors will launch the Nexon CNG soon in India. It is notable that the brand already offers the Altroz, Punch, Tiago and Tigor with the dual-cylinder technology. The Nexon CNG will also receive the same CNG technology.
Tata Sierra and Curvv EV Details
Tata Motors will utilise Tata's Gen 2 platform for electric vehicles for the upcoming Sierra EV. The automaker expects to launch the Sierra EV by 2026 in India. Earlier, the brand announced that the Curvv would be launched in late 2024, but some internal reasons pushed the launch to a later date. The Curvv will get petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options. The ICE-powered Curvv SUV will get a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel unit. On the other hand, the Curvv EV will expectedly offer an impressive range of 500 km on a solitary charge.
