Tata Motors Sanand Facility: Inside The Plant
The Sanand plant, operational since 2010 and spanning 1100 acres, has been pivotal to Tata Motors' growth, employing over 6000 staff. As one of Tata Motors' newer facilities, it features advanced technology and a lean process management system.
The plant features a press line, weld shop, paint shop, assembly line, and powertrain shop. It's known for producing various passenger vehicle models like Tiago, Tigor, and XPRES-T EV.
Initially designed for one model, it's now a multi-model facility, efficiently managing assets to produce three models.

Tata Motors' CSR Initiatives In Sanand And Beyond
The Sanand plant has adopted over 68 villages in the Sanand, Bavla, and Viramgam regions. Key initiatives include sanitation facilities, women's skill enhancement for employment, and promoting education for girls.
Over the past 13 years, Tata Motors' CSR efforts have positively impacted more than 300,000 lives in these areas.
