Tata is all set to launch the Nexon EV Max on May 11 and according to the reports on the internet, the power figures will be 136 hp compared to the 127 hp that is present on the current model. In addition to this, the new model will also replace the existing 30.2kWh battery pack with a newer 40 kWh one.
In addition to this, the ARAI certified range of the Nexon EV Max is close to 400 km which is quite sufficient for city usage and occasional highway runs. The only downside of a bigger battery pack is decreased boot carrying capacity along with the added weight it'll carry which will eventually increase the overall weight of the electric SUV.

Along with a bigger battery pack, we also expect a new 6.6kW charger as opposed to the current 3.3kW one. This updated and bigger charger is expected to the Nexon EV Max faster by a margin. Currently, this 3.3kW charger juices up the battery Currently, it takes about 8.5 to 9.5 hours to juice up the battery of this electric SUV.
Apart from the bigger battery pack and a charger, we do believe that the safety equipment too will be improved in the Nexon EV Max. We can expect all-wheel disc brakes along with electronic stability control as a standard fitment across all variants. Other features that are expected are an air-purifier, cruise control, electronic parking brake, ventilated cooled front seats and more.
