Volvo silently introduced the updated 2022 Volvo S60 in the global market and is now offering a better package to buyers. Launched in the year 2018, the present generation of the Volvo S60 was due for a mid-life update for long. The brand recently also introduced the new XC60 SUV in its global portfolio. Here are all the details and updates that you should check out.
To start with, a few cosmetic changes have been made to the exterior styling of the car. The bumpers are now different and so are the alloy wheels, exterior trim elements and exterior colour options. In addition to this, the rear too looks different now and the exhaust pipes are now hidden. The major update comes in the form of a new infotainment system powered by the Google Android software. This system boasts features like Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play app, etc. On the features front, the car also offers advanced safety features and might soon get Pilot Assist function as a part of Volvo's ADAS suite.

In the global markets, the 2022 Volvo S60 is offered with multiple powertrain options, depending on the trim you opt for. While the base-level trims get a turbocharged 2.0-L four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 161 hp, the higher and more expensive trims get a more powerful version of the same engine. All these powertrain options are combined with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that adds 13 hp of extra power. The S60 is also available with an optional 2.0-L turbodiesel engine that produces 194 hp. These engines can be had with a seven-speed DCT, or an eight-speed torque converter gearbox depending on the variant that you will opt for.
