The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has sold more than 1 lakh units in India at the wholesale level, making it the second rebadged Maruti car, after the Glanza, to achieve this milestone. To highlight some figures, from April to October, Toyota experienced a 36% increase in sales, with 36,220 units sold during this period.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is a compact SUV that starts at Rs 11.14 lakh, with the top trim priced at Rs 19.99 lakh. Its biggest USP is the strong hybrid system, which was co-developed by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. The lithium-ion battery, mated to a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine, is capable of achieving 27.97 kmpl in city conditions. Another unique feature of this car is its AWD drivetrain, which is not available in any of its rivals.
Recently, Toyota launched a Festival Limited Edition of this vehicle, which is essentially a version with all the accessories at an affordable price. In October, the total sales tally reached 1,07,975 units. This is great news for the automaker, as Maruti-rebadged cars contribute significantly to Toyota overall sales.
