The festive season is on the corner and some auto majors are launching special editions of their products. Toyota India has also joined this league by launching the all-new Signature Edition of its most popular SUV- Fortuner. The Japanese carmaker has also introduced the signature editions of other products such as Glanza, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hyrcross. The signature edition is all about some cosmetic updates inside and out. The Fortuner Signature Edition has arrived in India at Rs. 39.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Toyota Fortuner Signature Edition: Exterior
Toyota Fortuner Signature Edition has also arrived at the brand's dealerships. The Fortuner Signature Edition gets a blue-themed interiors and exteriors. The special edition gets a dual-tone scheme which includes a combination of Grey and White. The Grey paint is present on the bonnet, bumper, grille and both sides with a blue outline. Also, there is a cladding on the body with a glossy black finish that enhances its visual appeal. Additionally, you get blue-painted brake callipers, paired with sporty-looking alloy wheels.
At the rear, you get Fortuner lettering with a blacked-out finish. There is a stripe with a glossy black finish at the lower bumper (rear). Additionally, you get a Signature Edition badging on the right side and rear as well. The rest of the exterior features are the same as the standard model.
Toyota Fortuner Signature Edition: Interiors
The Fortuner Signature Edition gets comprehensive updates on the interiors as well. These alterations are apparent on the steering wheels, door trims and speakers. Apart from this, the special edition also gets a blue-themed upholstery (though it is slightly lighter than the one outside). It features tri-tone seats that elevate the interior's feel. Other cool additions are the soft padding on the console trim and glove box and Signature Edition bashing on the badging.
Dual Tone-Red Accents Option
The automaker also kept a dual-tone navy blue and grey paint scheme on offer with red accents. The navy blue colour enhances the edition's exclusivity and grey and red shades just add to that exclusivity. The dual-tone variant has the same grey stripe with a red outline. Also, this variant has the red-painted brake callipers. The interiors of this variant are the same but with the use of red shade instead of blue.
Toyota Signature Edition: Powertrain
Toyota Fortuner Signature Edition gets the same engine offered with the standard version. It also gets a 2.8-litre diesel engine which is capable of making 204 PS of power and 420 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The automatic variant churns out 500 Nm of torque, more than the MT variant.
On the feature front, the Toyota Signature Edition gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a premium JBL sound system and a multi-information instrument cluster. The safety suite of the SUV includes vehicle stability control, 7 airbags, hill-hold assist control and a traction control system as well.
