In India, Toyota Glanza and Urban Cruiser get a price hike on their models. Last month, Toyota hiked the price of its most popular MPV, the Innova Crysta, and now it has raised the price of its hatchback and compact SUV. The Glanza has witnessed a larger price hike than the Urban Cruiser. Toyota Glanza and Urban Cruiser are the re-engineered versions of Maruti Baleno and Vitara Brezza, with some minor cosmetic changes. The models are made under Toyota and Marutis strategic partnership. These models have recently crossed a combined sale of around 1 lakh vehicles, with 65,000 Glanza and 35,000 Urban Cruiser.
The Toyota Glanza has received a price increase of up to Rs 45,000, depending on the variant. The Urban Cruiser, on the other hand, has experienced a price increase of up to Rs 17,500 depending on the variant. Glanza is now available for Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 9.66 lakh (ex-showroom). When it comes to the Urban Cruiser, it starts at Rs 8.87 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs 11.58 lakh (ex-showroom). Toyota Glanza Price Hike
Toyota provides the Glanza in two different models: G and V. The costs have gone up by Rs 21,000, with the exception of the G-Smart trim, which has gone up by Rs 45,000.

The Toyota Glanza uses the same engine as the Maruti Baleno and is powered by a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. The engine produces a maximum torque of 113 Nm and a peak output of 83 PS. A dual-jet version of this engine with a mild-hybrid system (available only on the G smart hybrid manual type) produces 90 PS and 113 Nm. There are two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a CVT.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Price Hike
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is available in three different trim levels: Mid, High, and Premium. Manual and CVT transmissions are available on all trim levels. Depending on the version, the Glanza has experienced a price increase of Rs 4,400 to 17,500.

A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine with 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission options. This engine produces 104 horsepower and 138 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of technology, both the Glanza and the Urban Cruiser have the same 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as push-button start. Following in the footsteps of its Maruti siblings, Toyota is contemplating a mid-life facelift for the Glanza and Urban Cruiser. The Glanza is likely to get the same improvements as the Maruti Baleno, while the Urban Cruiser will get the same treatment following the Vitara Brezza facelift after its launch.
