The Toyota Glanza is offered as a premium hatchback which competes against the likes of Hyundai i20, Hodna Jazz, Maruti Baleno, etc. The car is available only witha 1.20L petrol engine which comes mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT gearbox. With this being said, check out all the Toyota Glanza Pros and Cons if you are in the market to buy a new premium hatchback.
Pros-
1. After-Sales Support
Toyota is known to offer supreme after-sales support and the case is no different with the Glanza. The service from the brand has always been hassle free and all the issues int he vehicle, if any, are resolved as per the customer's satisfaction.
2. Performance
Powering the Glanza is a 1.2-L dualjet motor which is not just refined and responsive, but is pepy enough to provide the car some decent performance. Compare it to its rivals and you will definitely be left impressed with this vehicle.
3. Spacious and Practical Cabin
Space inside the cabin is impressive and there are ample storage spaces inside to keep small stuff and other items. The front row is spacious and can easily accomodate grown up adults with utmost comfort.
4. Feature Loaded
The features list available with all the vatiants of the Glanza is quite generous and there is no dearth of any modern bells and whistles in the car. The top-spec variant also comes with LED lights, dual-tone alloy wheels, ABS, EBD, front airbags, etc.
5. Warranty Period
When compared to the Baleno, the Glanza gets a much better warranty period of three years/1,00,000 kms. In addition to this, the overall warranty experience offered by Toyota too is significantly better than the rivals.

Cons-
1. Not So Great Interior Quality
The quality of the plastics used inside the cabin is not as good as the rivals and the trim panels feel extremely cheap for a car of this class. The fit and finish levels could have been better.
2. Build Quality
Overall build quality of the vehicle is not so great. Be it the plastics, or the sheet metal, or the paint quality, there is a huge scope of improvement and the rivals offer a much better quality.
3. No Diesel Engine On Offer
With the BS6 norms coming into action, a number of car makers have now discontinued the diesel-powered variants of various models. The Glanza too is not available with any diesel engine which may be a huge negative for those who have high running. Cars like the i20 stiill come with a diesel engine option.
4. Below Average Performance From CVT Gearbox
The automatic variant of the Glanza gets a CVT gearbox which is practical and efficient during slow speed, city drives but does tend to take a toll on the overall performance on highway speeds. The rubber-band effect is extremely pronounced and if you are someone who loves pushing the car into the corners, I would suggest you to go with the manual variant.
5. Rear Seat Comfort
The rear seat bench could have been more comfortable. The stiff suspension results is not so great ride comfort and the under thigh support as well as overall headroom in the second row could have been better.
