This Madras-based Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is known all over the world for its over three decades of glorious racing heritage. TVS makes some really good practical and affordable commuters, sporty motorcycles and even sporty gearless scooters. In fact, TVS has also been a pioneer in bringing new-age technologies and connectivity features in its mass-market motorcycles and scooters. Now, in-line with the current norms, the company has gone the digital way. TVS has just launched its new ARIVE mobile application and here we have for you all the details about it.
The company has launched the new TVS ARIVE (better termed as A.R.I.V.E.) mobile application in India. The company says that this mobile application has been launched with an aim to transform the customer's experience of exploring their favourite two-wheelers on their smartphone. This A.R.I.V.E. (Augmented Reality Interactive Vehicle Experience) mobile application will be available on both Google Play Store as well as Apple's App Store. What's further interesting about this new online platform is that it uses augmented reality to give the customers an in-depth product exploration and purchase experience. It is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the mass-market two-wheeler segment and it promises to offer a holistic buying experience to customers.
Now, talking more about this mobile application, so at present, it lists only two TVS motorcycles, namely the Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 and the Apache RR 310 BS6. However, TVS will gradually add its complete portfolio on the mobile application. This new mobile app offers an independent module for each product which is further divided into three different modules namely, Place to explore (AR-Based), Scan a real bike (AR-Based) and the 3D mode (for devices that are not compatible with augmented reality). Further, each of these modes offers multiple hotspots that highlight the critical features of the listed motorcycles through an X-ray vision of the vehicle, supported by a detailed description, videos, animations, and many more. Also, these modes perform specific functions.
For instance, the 'Place To Explore' mode creates an augmented experience of the real vehicle by positioning the virtual 3D model of it in the AR world. The users can have a 360-degree view of the motorcycles and can zoom-in and zoom-out to have a closer look at each and every detail. Next, it has the 'Scan A Real Bike' mode that allows the users to scan an actual vehicle and then the mobile application will highlight the features of the motorcycle. It also has a '3D mode' for both AR and non-AR supported devices and it will give the users a 360-degree view of the vehicle and will highlight their key features. Lastly, the mobile application will provide a Sell Through Process option for scheduling a test ride, locating the nearest dealer, for changing the colour of the motorcycle or to finally book the vehicle online.
Speaking on the launch of new application, Meghashyam Dighole, Head - (Marketing) Premium Motorcycles, TVS said, "TVS Motor Company has been at the forefront of introducing technological advancements across our products, and services. The TVS A.R.I.V.E app is an extension to that philosophy, as our customers now get an opportunity to explore our products at the convenience of their homes through the AR technology. We introduce the app with the TVS Apache RR 310 & TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, the flagship models from our stable. This app will bridge the gap between a customer's consideration and the decision of testing or purchase, by using augmented reality to give a 360-degree experience of the product using audio-visual and textual formats."
