TVS Motors seems to have an aggressive year ahead. The company is expected to open with the TVS RTX 300 ADV which is expected to be launched somewhere in the Q1 of 2025. A test mule of the upcoming 300cc ADV was recently spotted. The RTX 300 ADV will compete with the KTM 250 Adventure and RE Himalayan 450. Though completely camouflaged, the test mule revealed some key details about the upcoming adventure motorcycle. TVS RTX 300 ADV: Details
The test mule spotted recently was being tested with other models which include the RR310 and KTM 390 Adventure. Running the test mule with other models suggests testing the performance and benchmarks. The RTX 300 ADV sounded more gruntier than the RR's 313cc reverse inclined engine. The test mule also had a different exhaust placement when compared to the RR 310.
TVS RTX 300 ADV: Powertrain
The TVS RTX 300 ADV will source its power from the all-new RT-XD4 engine platform. The engine on duty is a 299.1cc forward incline, a single-cylinder unit that is capable of making 35 PS of power and 28.5 Nm of torque. For transmission, the 299.1cc engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox paired with an assist-and-slipper clutch and a ride-by-wire throttle.
TVS RTX 300 ADV: Hardware
Essentially, a dual-purpose motorcycle, the RTX 300 will get a tall windscreen that ends with a sharp beak-like edge. Additionally, the motorcycle has a long travel suspension and runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels that wear dual-purpose tyres. The braking duties of the ADV will be handled by discs on both sides, complemented by dual-channel ABS.
TVS RTX 300 ADV: Features
On the feature front, the RTX 300 ADV is expected to feature a TFT instrument cluster. Other features on offer would be LED headlamps, a tyre hugger, LED turn signals and a tail lamp. For suspension, it will use golden-coloured USD front forks and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock rear suspension. Additionally, we can expect some electronic aids like traction control, six-axis IMU, ride modes, switchable rear ABS and wheelie control.
