TVS Motors announced the next launch event of its new product. The new product will launch on July 6 & it is suspected to be a new motorcycle.
Lately, the two-wheeler segment in India has been exciting. New products are launching frequently with new tech & features coming along with them. It is announced in a recent teaser by TVS Motors that it is going to launch a new two-wheeler. The scheduled launch is on July 6.
The main question arises, what could this new product possibly be? Is it the new Zeppelin R Cruiser (read here more about it) or the naked version of the Apache RR 310? Or TVS is prepping the launch of the Ntorq electric version? Well, the answer is due & will be given thoroughly on the day of launch. For now, we suspect that the new product is going to be a motorcycle primarily.
According to the reports published over the internet, the new bike can be the Zeppelin itself. TVS has no portfolio in the cruiser bike segment in India. We all are aware of how much Indian customers love cruiser bikes. The company showcased the Zeppelin cruiser bike for the first time at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. At the event also, it gathered a humongous amount of customers.
TVS Zeppelin R Cruiser
The typical cruiser stance of the prototype bike was eye candy. Low-slung & wide rider seat, high-set pillion seat, upright & wide handlebar, front-seat rider footpegs, etc., contributed to the cruiser stance. Up front, the Zeppelin used a vertical LED headlight with chunky golden USD forks. Also, the rear end is comprised of a short-tail design as seen over the bigger cruiser bikes like the Harley's.
Just in case, if this is not the Zeppelin, the second nearest guess is the naked version of the Apache 310. Maybe, TVS is planning to sell the naked version similar to the BMW G 310 R. As BMW is also going to introduce the Apache-based sports bike soon in India; this decision might help TVS to cover the barren department of the naked sports bike in the quarter-liter segment.
Interestingly, there has been no spotting of any test bikes similar to the Zeppelin concert. Neither any naked sports bikes were spotted testing on the Indian roads by the company. This results in more interest regarding the thoughts about the upcoming bike.
Before the new bike gets launched, TVS has ensured to keep the enthusiasts guessing. The teaser of the upcoming two-wheeler is surely interesting for the Indian market. But, if the new motorcycle is Zeppelin the direct competition is with Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Yezdi Roadster, & Jawa.
Additionally, if the plans are otherwise the competition is BMW G 310 R, & the KTM Duke 390.
