TVS XL 100 Electric: Rival To Kinetic E-Luna?
The latest type-approval documents leaked online show that TVS is planning electric versions of the XL 100. The trademark goes in the names of XL EV and E-XL; hinting at two different versions based on the ICE model. It is the oldest and the most sold product from the TVS portfolio. Loved for its rugged design and luggage ferrying capacity, XL 100 still sells in good numbers. Recently, Kinetic Green also made a comeback via the E-Luna moped. The XL 100 rivals the old Luna while the electric version will rival the new E-Luna.
Another interesting detail is the date of submission of the approval documents. These were submitted in January which means TVS has been silently working on them for a long time. While there are no details known about its battery size, range, and features, we expect it to look similar to the ICE version. The current model is priced between Rs 44,999 - Rs 59,695 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
