The most-awaited bike of this year is undoubtedly the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler. It is scheduled to launch in India on 5 July. Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler Details
As we know that Bajaj is now handling the Trumph operations in India, and the upcoming Scrambler is now on the verge of launch. It has been a well-known tactic of manufacturers to rotate the test mules ahead of launch to create more hype. However, on the latest spotting of the bike, some interesting details have been revealed. The test mule is seen running on sporty Pirelli Diable Rosso Sport tyres. These tyres indicate that the performance of it'll be interesting. The Pirelli Rosso's are generally used on high-performance bikes. Perhaps, the reports suggesting that it'll be a fast bike; are correct then.
Meanwhile, this Scrambler is expected to be offered in two versions. One will be road centric and the other will be an adventure tourer setup. Certainly, in both versions, the power punch will be higher. As rumoured, it is going to use a 400cc single-cylinder engine that'll be liquid-cooled. Therefore, the peak power will be upwards of 40 bhp (expected). A 6-speed gearbox and features like riding modes and a slipper clutch will translate it into a fast bike. Other known facts about it include USD forks, alloy wheels, disc brakes, a semi-digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity for phone, USB charging, etc.
Verdict
The upcoming Bajaj-Triumph bike will be the first product of the newly formed joint venture. This collaboration is expected to make further platforms that will offer affordable performance.
