TVS Apache RTR 310 - Different Than BMW G 310 R?
As TVS & BMW co-jointly developed the 310 platform, the naked sports bike was first launched by BMW. Badged BMW G 310 R, it did receive a good response from the Indian market. But, TVS enjoys a large audience and has more loyal fans. However, the naked version of the 310 platform was still missing from TVS. Now, what it could be, is the new Apache RTR 310 which is going to debut on 6 September. This bike has been spied on tests quite a few times. But, TVS has now officially teased a covered model just ahead of its official debut.
To make it different from the BMW counterpart, it'll get a completely different design. The aggressive nature of its design is seen via the low-placed LED headlight which has DRLs similar to the Ducati Streetfighter. Also, the sculpted fuel tank is properly meshed with the big side shrouds that make it look chunky. The split seat setup with rear set footpegs for the rider & raised handlebar will result in a commanding riding posture. At the rear, it'll get a new LED taillight & LED indicators mounted on the rear tyre hugger.
Feature-wise, it'll get a TFT colour display with new UI & Smart Xonnect features. It'll also offer different ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, sms/call alerts, etc. Also, the hardware will be enriched with USD front forks, preload-adjustable rear monoshock, 17-inch alloy wheels, & brakes carried forward from the Apache RR 310 (possibly). Technically, the bike will use the same 312cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the RR 310.
