Volkswagen India has introduced the Highline Plus variants of its two popular subcompacts, the Taigun and Virtus. The automaker launched these variants alongside the GT Line variants of Taigun and Virtus. The new Highline Plus variants sit above the normal Highline trim on offer with both cars. Volkswagen Taigun Highline Plus
The Taigun Highline Plus can be had with automatic and manual transmission options. While the one with an automatic is priced at Rs. 14.37 lakh, the manual one comes at Rs. 15.37 lakh (ex-showroom). When compared to the Highline variant, this variant has a considerable price difference.
Volkswagen Virtus Highline Plus
The Virtus Highline Plus is also available with both AT and MT options, which are priced at Rs. 13.88 lakh and 14.98 lakh respectively. Similar to the Taigun, the new Virtus Highline costs significantly more than the regular Highline variant. Notably, the price difference is 86000 and 81000 for both AT and MT options.
Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus: Features
On the feature front, the Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus variants get features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, sunroof, auto-headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, button start and follow me home functionality.
Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus: Powertrain
The Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus variants get the same 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 114 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is available with automatic and manual transmission options across the brand's lineup.
