Real World Riding
Aprilia scooters have always been known for their dynamics and the SXR 160 is no different. The smaller 12-inch wheels add to the flick-ability part and this is an agile scooter for urban runs. Braking is top-notch and the punch from the motor is good enough for most riders. However, when you ride the Aerox back to back, you realise how (more) powerful this scooter is. In fact, team member Bunny Punia took it for a 750km spin to Himachal and only had praises to talk about it. This scooter can even cruise at 95-100 all day long - something unheard of in the Indian market.
In terms of comfort levels, it's the Aerox that has the edge and this is down to the seat and suspension combination. The SXR ain't bad but the hard seat is a let-down. Also, we prefer the front-mounted fuel filler cap on the Yamaha scooter as this really is a boon at petrol stations. Lastly, at triple-digit speeds, it's the Aerox that earns extra brownie points.

Yamaha and Aprilia both compete against each other. SXR 160 and Aerox 155 both are priced at a competitive price tag.
