Original Article - April 24, 2020; Yamaha Motor India is all geared up to launch the 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6 in India. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has already revealed all the specifications and pictures of these quarter-litre duos. Though the motorcycles will be launched in the coming weeks once the lockdown is lifted off, the bikemaker has now revealed the official accessories (with pricing) for the upcoming 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25.
Yamaha will offer a total of five optional official accessories for the FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6. These include - Engine Guard, USB Charger, Bike Cover, Seat Cover, and Tank Pad. Going deep into the details, the first one is an Engine Cover that costs Rs. 990 and as the name suggests it protects the engine of the motorcycle in case of a light crash and also prevents the stones and pebbles from hitting the engine.
Next is a USB Charger that costs Rs. 750 (Rs. 60 extra for an additional cable) and it is a very useful accessory as one can charge their smartphone while riding. Yamaha also offers an optional Bike Cover and Seat Cover for the 2020 FZ 25 and FZS 25 and these official accessories cost Rs. 835 and Rs. 425 respectively. Last but not the least, there is also a Tank Pad on offer that costs Rs. 200. The benefit of having a tank pad is that it protects the paint from small scratches and also adds a styling element to the motorcycle.

Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6 are powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, four-stroke engine that delivers 20.8 PS of power at 8,000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Both the motorcycles also get an all-LED headlamp, a digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS and more.
Yamaha will launch the BS6-compliant FZ 25 and the FZS 25 in the coming weeks as soon as the lockdown lifts off.
