The biggest change can be seen in the cluster area. Previously, it featured a semi-digital setup displaying gear position, time, odometer, tachometer, speed, trip meter, distance to empty, and fuel economy, along with an RPM meter. However, it lacked Bluetooth connectivity.

In the new model, a fully digital cluster replaces the older analog circular design. It retains all the information from the previous version but adds new features like the Bajaj Ride Connect app, Bluetooth connectivity, call and SMS alerts, and more. It also continues to include a charging port for convenience.

One noticeable difference between them is the button layout on the left side of the handlebar. There's a new button located just above the indicator switch. Additionally, the pass switch has an updated feature where it can control the high beam, low beam, and pass function, depending on the direction you move it. The horn button remains in its usual place. On the right side of the handlebar, the setup stays unchanged, featuring the engine kill switch and the self-start button.

The engine remains unchanged in both the new and old N150 models. They both feature the same 149.68cc engine, which provides a lively 14 bhp of power and 13.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a smooth 5-speed transmission, ensuring a pleasant and effortless driving experience.

On the hardware front, things remain quite similar. The new model features a 31 mm telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. For braking, the front now uses a larger 260 mm disc, up from the previous 240 mm, while the rear continues with the 130 mm drum brake. The single-channel ABS on the front also remains unchanged. Overall, the updates focus on slightly enhancing braking performance while keeping other elements consistent.

Verdict

While the updates and upgrades are definitely worthwhile, those who aren't very concerned with connectivity might feel the previous model was sufficient. However, the new model does offer enhanced overall features. It would be great if Bajaj could introduce a new dual ABS variant for this model, as it would make it a much stronger competitor in its category.
