Powertrain
Unlike the e Vitara, the BE 6, and the Curvv EV, which are built on born-electric platforms, the Creta EV is based on the same platform as its combustion-powered sibling. The Korean car maker has not yet revealed the power and torque figures yet, and the Creta EV is likely to get a single electric motor powering the front wheels.
Similarly, the lower-spec e Vitara also comes with one electric motor powering the front wheels, while the higher-spec variants get all-wheel drive. However, it remains to be seen whether Maruti Suzuki will bring the all-wheel drive spec of the e Vitara to India.
The ZS EV and the Curvv also get a single electric motor powering the front wheels, with no option of all-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the BE 6 is the only car in this comparison with the electric motor powering the rear wheels. It is also more powerful than the e Vitara, Curvv EV, and the ZS EV. All the details are available in the table below.
Criteria | Hyundai Creta EV | Maruti Suzuki e Vitara | Mahindra BE 6 | MG ZS EV | Tata Curvv EV |

Battery And Range
Except for the ZS EV, all other cars in this comparison give you the option of two battery packs. The ZS EV gets a claimed range of 461km on a single charge, and based on our tests, it delivers lose to 400km of range in real-world conditions. A 7.4kW AC charger will take about 8.5 to 9 hours for a 0-100% charge, while a 50kW DC fast charger will juice it up to 80% in a claimed 60 minutes.
The Mahindra BE 6 has the largest two battery pack options, with the highest claimed range figures. However, we will discuss its real-world range and charging abilities once testing it in familiar daily-life conditions.
The Curvv EV comes with two battery pack options, and not too long ago, Tata Motors rolled out claimed range figures for its EVs according to the new range test standards set by the MoRTH. We also went hypermiling in the Curvv EV 55, where we covered a total distance of 435.4km, with a final average consumption figure of 120Wh/km. You can check out the video on our YouTube channel.
This brings us to the Creta EV and the e Vitara. While Maruti Suzuki has not gone into too much detail yet for the India-spec model, Hyundai has given out claimed range figures and charging times for the Creta EV. All details about these two cars will be revealed at the 2025 Auto Expo, so stay tuned for our coverage of the same!

Features On Offer
The Creta EV will feature a similar interior layout compared to its combustion-powered alter ego. The dashboard will be the same, as will be the 10.25-inch curved digital cluster and infotainment touch screen. However, the steering wheel looks similar to the one offered on Hyundai's more expensive cars sold overseas, and it also comes with a column-mounted selector stalk.
The full equipment list for the Creta EV will be out in the coming days, but it will get a digital key, one-pedal driving, panoramic sunroof, shift-by-wire, vehicle-to-load. It is also likely to carry over level 2 ADAS, a Bose sound system, and ambient lighting among other things.

The Mahindra BE 6 comes with the most radical-looking interior of all the cars in this comparison, and it also gets a couple of segment-firsts as well. Meanwhile, the Curvv EV's interiors bear resemblance to what we have seen on the Punch EV and the Nexon EV.
It is safe to say that all cars in this comparison are equipped with plenty of features. While the e Vitara will stand out with all-wheel drive abilities, the rest of its features list remains unknown for now.
The ZS EV, like all cars in this comparison, receive ADAS abilities, and there are things on offer that are available on other cars in this segment as well. Below is a table listing out some of the features available on each car.

Verdict
So far, this is how the Creta EV stacks up against its rivals. While it may not be as dramatic-looking as some of its rivals, the Creta EV should likely make up for that in practicality and features.
