Powertrain
One of the most striking difference between EV and ICE version lies at their hearts. The Hyundai Creta ICE boasts a familiar 1.5L petrol, 1.5L diesel and 1.5L turbo petrol units. But enter the Creta EV, there's a whole new source of power. The new Creta EV offers two battery packs- 51.4 kWh and a smaller 42 kWh paired along with an electric motor. These battery packs will deliver a claimed range of 473 Km and 390 Km respectively within a single charge. The Hyundai Creta isn't just about zero emissions, it also masters the aerodynamics and innovation. Equipped with active flaps, the EV efficiently adjusts its aerodynamic flaps to reduce drag and maximise efficiency.
Design
The front fascia of both EV and ICE version features the similar LED DRL and headlight setup. However, the ICE version has a bigger grille and Hyundai logo in the middle. While the EV features a smaller Hyundai logo on the front charging port lid along with slightly tweaked bumper and silver skid plate.
Moreover, the front styling of the Creta EV resembles with the outgoing Creta N Line. The Creta Electric gets a new 17-inch aero alloys with low rolling resistance which sets it apart. These tyres minimises the energy loss on the road and provides you with a better range. At the rear, the visible difference is the Creta Electric gets a redesigned rear bumper along with "Electric" badging on the right side of the tailgate.
Price & Rivals
The Hyundai Creta ICE version is available with a price tag of Rs 10.99 (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs 20.29 lakh (ex-showroom). While the price for the electric version has not been out yet but it is expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh. The Creta Electric will rival against the Tata Curvv EV, Mg ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the Upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. On the other hand the ICE version continues to rival against the Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and the VW Taigun.
