Pricing remains a deciding factor for many. Therefore, the Gen 3 Ola S1 starts at an introductory price of Rs 79,999 for S1X with a 2kWh battery pack and goes up to Rs 1,69,999 for the top-spec Ola S1 Pro+ with 5.3 kWh battery pack.

Upgraded Platform
The Generation 3 of the Ola S1 range gets a new upgraded platform with a mid-drive motor and chain drive technology. This new setup enhances performance. Moreover, Ola has added a new integrated MCU (Motor control unit), which is tuned to enhance range and acceleration. According to the reports, it offers 20% more peak power along with a longer battery range.
Dual ABS and Brake-By Wire Tech
Ola took safety as a main focus for its Gen 3 lineup. The new models have been equipped with Dual ABS( Anti-lock Braking System) along with Brake-By Wire technology. This technology helps in adjusting the braking response in real-time riding conditions. Moreover, it optimises braking with regenerative braking, which results in 15% energy recovery.
Specifications
The Ola S1X+ is powered by a 4kWh battery pack reaching up to a top speed of 125 km. While the acceleration from 0-40kmph takes up to 2.7 seconds and offers a range of up to 242 km within a single charge. On the Other hand, the Ola S1X offers 2kWh, 3kWh and 4kWh battery packs, which differ in top speed, range and acceleration.

Features
The Generation 3 scooters continue to get the previous generation features along with some minor new additions. The newly integrated features include Smartwatch app connectivity, Smart Park Mode, Bharat mood feature, road trip mode with Ola maps, Live location sharing and Emergency SOS safety.

Verdict
Given the demand for small urban cars and improving EV infrastructure, there is good scope for new models under the Rs 10 lakh bracket. The Leapmotor T03 might not be the most striking EV, but it ticks all the right boxes as a solution for urban mobility.
