Also, Honda has put a cease on the rumours which suggested that the fourth-gen City will be sold as a taxi variant once the 2020 City is launched. Honda will continue with the fourth-gen City but only with a 1.5L petrol-only model.

Sharing more details on the new-gen City then the car is now longer and wider than its predecessor. The length of 2020 Honda City is 4,549 mm, width comes at 1,748 mm while it retains the same wheelbase as before at 2,600 mm. Also, the height of the sedan is shortened by 4 mm.

Also, the features list is jacked up too as it will get larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment on the inside. It packs in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. The new City packs an all-black cabin globally, however, it will come with a beige and black colour scheme for the Indian market.

The new City also carries segment-first features which are lane watch camera assist which we have seen on the Honda Civic. This wide-angle camera placed below the passenger-side ORVM shows you the blind spot if available. The second unique feature is 7.0-inch TFT MID with G-force meter.

It is also the first car in India to be compatible with Amazon Alexa remote support. Safety features on the car remain the same with ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and more. What's new is the added advantage of Vehicle Stability Assist and Agile Handling Assist, both of which are segment-first features.

There is no news of what could be the prices of new City but we expect the base model to stick below Rs 10 lakh. It will thus add an advantage when compared to its rivals. Once launched, it will compete with Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Toyota Yaris.
