Skoda India is following the social distancing protocol way too modernly. We say it because Skoda has launched the new 2020 BS6 models like Rapid, Karoq and Superb in a digitised way and the prices for the same start from Rs respectively, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Sharing more details on the new entrant, Skoda Karoq then the mid-size SUV competes with Jeep Compass, Volkswagen T-Roc and Hyundai Tucson. This one is a CBU unit and comes with all the bells and whistles with updated safety features. It is available in a single trim and prices sticks to Rs 24.99 lakh.
Under the hood, Skoda Karoq gets a 1.5L TSI petrol motor which produces 150 PS of power along with 250 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and the ARAI certified mileage is km/l. The SUV gets features like leatherette upholstery, panoramic sunroof, Virtual cockpit, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and among others.
Moving forward to the all-new Rapid which packs in a 1.0L turbo petrol engine under the hood. It makes 110 bhp with 175 Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed manual as standard.
Cosmetically, the new Rapid does not get many changes on the exteriors. The interiors receive a new and a larger touchscreen infotainment system which supports modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will compete with Hyundai Verna 1.0L turbo, Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Honda City.

Coming towards the flagship sedan, Superb, which not only gets slight cosmetic design tweaks but the bigger change is under the hood. Skoda India drops the 2.0L diesel engine for a 2.0L turbo petrol unit. This one will be seen in the upcoming Kodiaq too. The engine produces 190 PS along with 320 Nm of peak torque and gets a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The exteriors get a redesigned front bumper, new grille and slimmer LED headlights which gives the sedan a sporty appeal. Feature-wise it gets three-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, virtual cockpit system and safety features come with as many as 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear disc brakes and among others.
