South Korean carmaker, Kia Motors. made its Indian debut in August 2019 with the launch of the Kia Seltos mid-size SUV and it became an instant hit. The Seltos set the sales chart on fire and went on to become the best selling SUVs of 2019. The Seltos received its first update in January 2020 and now the carmaker has updated it once again. 'Kia Motors India' is now 'Kia India' and the company has just launched the updated Seltos too. The price of the new 2021 Kia Seltos starts at Rs. 9.95 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.

2021 Kia Seltos - What's New?
The 2021 Kia Seltos gets a lot of new features. For starters, it gets Kia's new logo. Kia recently revealed its new corporate logo and brand slogan that reads Movement That Inspires. The carmaker's new brand logo represents Kia's commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation. The Kia Seltos has always been a very handsome-looking mid-size SUV and so the company hasn't made any cosmetic changes to the car. However, Kia has made changes in its variant line-up and added a bunch of new features.

The new Kia Seltos is available in seven trim levels with multiple variants. The trim levels of the Seltos are HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX (O) and GTX+. The company has deleted the Seltos diesel in HTX+ trim and added two new variants. The HTK+ variant is now available with an iMT gearbox and there is a new GTX (O) trim too. Talking about feature add-ons, so the Seltos now gets paddle-shifters in the automatic variants of GTX+ trim. The safety features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HSA (Hill-Start Assist Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and Brake Assist are now offered as standard in the Kia Seltos from the HTX trim upwards.
The new Seltos gets an electric sunroof and automatic climate control even in HTK+ iMT, a remote engine start ON feature via smart key and keyless entry from HTK+ trim onwards, and new AI voice commands in HTX trim upwards. The mechanicals of the SUV remains the same as before. It gets a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol mill that churns out 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed iMT and an IVT (CVT). It also gets a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine that develops 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a torque-converter automatic transmission.

Finally, we have the BS6 compliant 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor that churns out 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). So, what are your thoughts on the new Kia Seltos?
